Not sure why the Master bedroom is the last room we get around to decorating but it is so true. It took us just about 4 years to finally add some color to our bedroom.
Here’s my husband Greg helping me tackle the paint job. I decided to paint the ceiling in a 3-tier look, which I saw in a design magazine and loved the look. I desperately needed my husband’s math skills for this as you’ll see our bedroom is not square or rectangular as most rooms are.
I should actually add trim to the lines making it stand out more but haven’t gotten around to finding a trim dainty enough to not take away from the grey shades.
The finished project with grey as the duvet cover. I like the color but it’s really for a king sized quilt which I don’t own.
Then I remembered the duvet our daughter brought back from Africa. I’ve never used it and it sat in linen closets without being enjoyed. I think it brightens up the room a lot more and white in some areas just looks fresh and crisp.
The beautiful pillow with the embroidered flowers is my favourite. I sewed it when I was not working and had a lot of time to do this.
Till next time…..
