Throwback to Aug. 2007

From my Diary Aug. 12, 2007

The notes in blue are my added thoughts today

Moving to Manitoba

Greg left for Manitoba today. to start work I’m always so sad when he leaves but especially on Sundays.  We’ve spent the last week together 24-7 because we’re both done our jobs, so being apart is lonely.

Sometimes I hope things go side-ways so that we won’t have to move but I know this is a good thing for Greg.  I just hope it’s a good thing for our kids.  We’ve never been apart except for when they were in Bible School and then we didn’t see Craig for 9mths & Crystal for 3mths because she came home for Christmas.  I know we’ll see them at least every 3mths.  I’ll just have to.  we’ve made many trips that probably did average out just about right

I’ve taken this morning to read this diary & hi-lite dates of important events.  Thru-out my writings I’ve noticed 1 distinct prayer concern: My children & their future spouses. I learnt to pray earnestly telling Him all my hearts desires.  Maybe my idea of a “spouse” has changed and who knows what He has planned for Craig & Crystal. not sure what this meant or what I was thinking but today I am so thankful for my sons-in-law, they are a blessing to our family!

We hope our house sells this week.

At 4:00, Theo our realtor in Calgary called and said an offer was made & Greg had accepted it.  I called Greg, he was so happy.

I called Craig & Crystal later in the evening.
END OF DIARY

This was the state of our home when we purchased it.  I was putting a lot of faith into the builders to complete it and not take us on a wild ride.  Greg checked in every time he was in Manitoba just to see the progress and told me how it looked when he came back home to Calgary.  I guess we didn’t do a lot with technology back then because today we’d be snapping photos like crazy!

This photo was taken as we drove around Morden waiting for the Sellers to accept our offer.  Greg just got word that we had a new home in Morden.  Now they just had to finish it.

Don’t go too far.  More fun photos of camping and Morden to come.
